Not eligible for the permit?
I went to the courthouse to get my permit.
The instructor had me read all the lines on the vision machine, and I couldn't get the last line in my right eye. He gave me a paper to have my optometrist fill out. I got it done. The Doc says my eyesight is 20/40 minus one in my right eye. He filled out the paper and said I should have no problem getting my license. :?: I already have my DOT Physical and passed the eye exam there. The school said if I get the paper from the doc, I don't have to take the eye test at the courtouse tomorrow. Anyone else have this problem? |
I just skirted the wire there. I was sure that the last letter on that line was Q. The examiner let me check again after the other students and then I could see that it was an O with a speck of dust.

A lot of things can temporaily make your vision worse than what it "normally" is or seem worse.
Being tired, the type of lights used, the type of test used, etc. etc. For example I have a hell of a time with wall charts under florescent lights. Even though my eyesight is corrected to 20/20 (optomistrist) with my glasses or contacts I can barely pass on the 20/40 line. If I wear my contacts the little machines at the DMV give me even bigger fits. |
boy i hear that uturn. at the eye doctor i get correct to 20/40+. I cannot pass the chart test, the tube test is a test test, and just barely pass 20/40.
