Question on license endorsements
I'm in NC.
There are several endorsements available on CDL license. Hazmat, Carrying people, etc. Do all of these require another road test as well as a written test? If you have a CDL and want to be able to drive a bus or a tanker, what's involved? Thanks Len |
With the exception of the passenger endorsement all others are strictly written tests.
If you get the passenger endorsement you will have to take another road test in an appropriate vehicle such as a large (15 or more passengers) van or bus. |
i have a passenger endorsement and did not have to take a road test. That is in PA maybe diff. each state. i think you have to for a school bus not sure.
|
If you're not Grandfathered you'll have to take a road test unless I'm missing something here.
|
if you go down on the website in PA it says you only has to pass the written test for passenger.

it says CLASS OF VEHICLE you drive. I dont think they mean it has to be a bus. I know i got mine around a year ago and it was just written test but i allready had my class A.
