Pete vs Freightliner
Can anyone tell me, is there much interior space difference between a peterbilt 379 70'' sleeper and a Freightliner Columbia 70'' mid-roof sleeper? Just curious. Thanks. Steve

bout the same, getting into the sleeper of a 379 can be a pain though

The sleepers may be close to the same size, but the cab area of the freightliner is quite a bit bigger than a pete. The cab area is really narrow in a pete.

You know what they say about a Pete. You can heat them with a match, but you can't cool them with an icecube. It is nice to be able to roll the passenger side window down from the drivers seat.

The only way I could roll the passenger window down from my driver seat is:
1. Have arms that are about 5 feet long 2. Have power windows The cab in the Freightliner is about 5 inches wider between the seats than the Peterbilt. You spend about 30 seconds per day in this space, and unless you are pushing 300 lbs, it really makes no difference. The cabinet layout in the Peterbilt is better, IMO. |
We looked at Pete 379 day cab it doesn't have as much room as my International but it was pretty comfortable and had plenty of space and I stand 6'5" and weigh about 250lbs.
