SNI and CFI

Schneider seems like a great place to train, but their student and new driver wages aren't too spectacular. Nevertheless, I don't want to leave SNI before acquiring at least three months OTR with them.

Does CFI hire out of California? It looks like they offer 35 cpm to drivers with at least a year under their belt, and from what I've heard and read, their equipment is top-notch. Any advice? :)

I dont know a lot about either company, but I do know that Skywalker works for CFI. He can help you with your questions regarding CFI. You can also use the search feature thingadoohickey on top,and search for posts under Skywalker's name,or CFI. Good Luck!

Too late Jack...yer taking a lickin' on this one.

Damn those quote machines. We used to have a glitch in the quoter at one time. Now it's working too good.

My big problem lately is I fire off a post...then think awww crap...I don't wanna say that...go do a quick edit...and get caught doing that.

heheheheee...I just edited the last part of mine...just to beat the quoter.

I hear ya. I always read my posts about a half a dozen times before I hit submit, and still find somethin, and hopefully,I can edit it before someone jumps all over it. :P

This thread is getting a bit derailed.

So what's the good news with CFI? Do they want you to have some time on board w/another company before applying?

Roadhog 09-09-2006 04:26 AM

I just did a web search putting "CFI trucking company" in my browser and got every concievable question answered. There are some guys here who are CFI driver's, but still...going to the web sources is so complete on this. It gives current job openings in California.

You might try PM'ing Skywalker, or searching on this message board "CFI" and you'll find out lots of guys driving for CFI and talk to them. Other than that...eventually someone will come along here and talk to you.

Meanwhile...don't get ruffled about us too much....we are bumping your thread back up to the top.

CFI now accepts drivers fresh out of school with their CDL-A (requires a week-long boot camp in Crowder, MO to get up to speed with the CFI way of doing things), and they offer subsidized training in a number of locations.

cfi-us.com for the company site
cfidrivers.com for an active community of CFI drivers and wannabees

CFI

CFI is a great company. They do hire straight from school. I graduated from school 3 months ago. My truck that was assigned to me is a 2006 it had 700 miles on it. I average a little over 3000 miles a week
