I have applied to 16 or 17 other jobs and the only one that was interested in my was a local trucking company. Some days will only be 4 loads if it is slow, rare days you can get 6 loads depending on which quarry you are assigned to. Winter time will make this harder. Every day is 10-12 hour shifts, and you work Monday through Friday with optional Saturdays depending on who wants it first but PTO doesn't start until after you work a year, then it is 5 days off. If I can do 5 loads per day then my salary would be significantly more then what I make now. If I can only get 4 though then the salary will be roughly the same as what I get now, just more hours worked. Better take the job fast. You just posted the OTR drivers dream job on this site, and now may have a hundred drivers applying for that cake job.

You get to sleep in your own bed every night.... (mutter-mutter) your own toilet in the morning.... home made coffee and lunches... yer making lots of drivers jealous.

I use to haul frozen Chinese OTR, and made a good living, until they made it illegal.
They said it was inhumane. .... it did quiet all their bitchin' down.
