how hard will it be for me to get back in a trator trailer position if i decide to do some class b straight truck driving for a while.,its still otr but straight truck.its just with the accidents on my liscence and my need for employment i can take this furniture moving position and in april of 2009 the accidnts will be three years old so they come offthe dmv report.which is the problem know.i hate the thaught of class b driivng but even if i take the moving furnture job im still gonna apply for otr tractor trailer jobs becouse thats what i want to do.i dont want to move furniture but i dont want to lose my house more. thanks for the responses.jimbo63

Your MVR will show the last ten years. Your accidents will still show up.

i talked to the dmv in my area of maine they said after three years they take them off your report .so yeah if a company asks for a ten year dmv report theyll be there. and most companies ask how many accidents in three years so if i can get past that three year mark even if their can still be accessed the older they get the easier it will be to find employment.im sure theyll follow me for along time. im trying to helpmyself i just completed a driver risk and awareness assesment class and passed not that any companies will care that i even did that .all iwant to do is get back in a truck,id even settle for a little less pay to start and drive with someone for a couple of weeks if that would help my cause just miss driving .thanks for posting

The longer you are away from class A otr the harder it will be to get back in.

Not trying to bust your balls or be negative my man, just want you to know what may happen and what Ive seen. Several apps. I filled out asked for 5 years and a couple asked for 10! I havent even had my C license for 10 years.

It might be worth it to look into a local road construction company. They run dump trucks, tankers, haul equipment around on lowboys, whatever needs doing. They tend to be more lenient on accidents, more focused on getting the job done, pay well (or really well), and there's no way for anyone to tell which day you were driving what kind of vehicle so it all counts as class-A. You usually get a bunch of good guys to work with too.
