First off, Thanks for all of the information posted in these forums. Thanks to all of the new or interested drivers asking all of the questions so I don't have to.
I buy and sell heavy haul trucks for a construction company. I also manage our day fleet (8 hour shift) and am a mechanic for our trucks. I have a CDL for combination but no air brake endorsement.
I tell you this, to share this...I have been blessed with the opportunity to drive a tractor trailer for a racing team. It would require me to be on the road for about 10 days a month for 6 months out of the year. Locations include Canada (twice), California (twice), Miami, Atlanta, and New Jersey.
I have to take my practical for air brakes within the next 90 days.
So as I have been reading I find something I need to familiarize myself with.
Log books - Where do I find information on the correct way to use them?
I know my situation isn't like the OTR driving most of you are used to, but even if it is for a couple times a year - I want to do it right.
Thanks for any advice. I'm sure I left stuff out, so I will answer as much as I can as I check the site.
Dan
