Hi all, I was hoping that I could find someone that had info on
disqualifications for entering Canada? I know the main ones like felonies and that. :shock: :idea:

If anyone had a website or phone number to get hold of a authority that would know that would be great.

from what i have been told in the school that you must be a citizen of the USA or green card residence and have visa to enter Canada
as the other things you must be crime and criminal record free .
you don't need a passport if you are US citizen to enter Canada but you must show a proof that you are a citizen of the US or legal residence of the US.
now we have the FAST CARD free and secure trade card which is issue by both countries and they share the info about the driver
zero tolerance against weapon , drugs and any unlawful things which is common known .
if you have FAST card then thing will be more easy if you don't it well take time to let you in, that apply to both side of the boarder
check with Canada custom and boarder agency.

You don't need a Visa in order to come to Canada if you're visiting. Moving there is another matter. If you are in the States and you're flying into Canada you DO require a passport, but until next year passing through land borders you don't. The ID you plan to use should be photo ID, except for a birth certificate. If you are a permanent resident of the States you must carry your permanent residency card (Green Card) with you at all times when crossing any borders. Drive safe everyone.

Why do I have a feeling that the US has no restriction on Canadians and Mexicans with similiar backgrounds from entering the US?

Found out yesterday that since I had wrote a bad check in 98. that I would more than likely have to have it pardoned or rehabilitated by Canada. ain't that the sh--. :x :evil:

So my company would have to push back orientation until I resolved the matter.

I was thinking last night also, that the wife and I have some back taxes from when we owned our business.

The state put a levy on my paycheck and takes out so much a week. Now i would imagine that would effect my ability to get into Canada also :x

I'm between a rock and a hard place. Should I just say screw it and look for a different company? Any help would be appreciated.

dont bother on making runs into canada, thiers more runs around the us with better roads, better truck stops, and less weather hassles.

verry little fo canada has 4 lane highway for your knowledge, mostly 2 lane, except beween magor cites and prairies, thiers still 2 lane on the prairies on the main highway but thats only 70 miles worth,

the only real con to running canada is, nice scenery in some areas, and every highway either leads to a city or to the middle of nowwhere

Getting into Canada is easy. Simply join the U.S. military and go AWOL, Canada will hold the door open for you to enter.

There's plenty of good roads in Canada Profitt. I know I've driven them for many years. There's many places here in the States where the roads are in pitiful shape that trucks have to run on. So don't be giving such B.S. Drive safe everyone.
