Default Tax question ?

Can the cost of cdl school be written off as a deduction for a co. driver? Thanks , Jim

As Rev said, it sure can, along with other muliple deductions involved in changing jobs.

Hope the mods don't mind me doing this, but I highly recommend that drivers, or anyone else for that matter, download a free program called Taxact. It's basically a product similar to TurboTax, but it's free...

It will ask you all types of questions based upon the potential deductions and circumstances that you choose and then you just punch in the numbers. It even includes 1 free eFile so you can get your refund back in about 7-10 days.

Personally, I use a CPA because of farm income and a side business in addition to our regular income, but I download this every year just to punch things in and get an idea on what we get back (or owe). Very good and thorough program that's so simple even a caveman can do it.
