Going for road test in Mack today

Sorry for asking the question so late, but I'm going for a road test today in a newer Mack tri-axle. Assuming its a 10speed.
So far, I have no troublr with any freightliner or KW 10speed, but was a little worried about taking my road test today.
Are they really any different shifting as far as timing go's?
I just read the post about the guy notbeing able to shift from lo to 1st, but felt that didnt really pertain to my question, as I dont really plan on using lo.
But also, what gear should I be able to pull out in (being empty)? I know with a empty 53' I can pull out in 4th, but I've ever drove tri-axle before.
Any help is appreciated.

It really depends on how the truck is geared, and what kind of power the engine has as to what gear to start in.
On a 10 speed, empty, you should have no problem starting out in 3rd regardless.
