go direct to the shipper,if you have own authority,or find a broker close to you to establish a relationship with, broker feel more at easy with people they know especially when things slow up

your welcome, its a thin line with brokers,so do work with you, others wont pay, some big brokers have it figured too the penny what they will pay,if you get too close they want it hauled for nothing sometimes,go with the gut and dont use just one broker,if you search you can find free load boards to sign up with, not the best, but it is a contact

Be very careful of any freight you find online.
If you should happen to get paid, it won't be very much.

Most load pimps used to hide in a phone booth now they bottom feed off the internet.

Hi Anne Marie, take a look at Real Time Freight Service, LLC. The home page is www.realtimefreight.com. It is a private load board that connects carriers directly to shippers.

On that board the brokers hide out as shippers..i found 2 this month. The freight is cheap. just like GL and ITS, but way less loads on there. Not worth the money....

Actually, some of the large shipping companies on Real Time Freight have tranportation wings, but these companies are only posting freight they take title to. They are not posting brokered freight.

Internet truck stop and get loaded are by consensus the best two used by actual owner operators, own authority, (like me) who use the net to make a living.....the best two own authority owners I look up to swear by them too.....n I heavily use those two.

Just a quick question about hauling container in and out of the ports on the East Coast. If hauling these container is your first job, will you have a DAC report started? Or are Dacs started for new drivers that drive regional\ OTR ?
