My little sis, my dear sweet baby sister. The one I mentioned this last winter having the crazy illness that lead to her being airlifted three times to a bigger hospital. Not sure how many remember that but since I have five sisters..... anyway.


I'm really broken up about it, This Sunday at 6am PST I had to say good bye to her. :cry:

Nah for real I am going to go visit her, either in Feb. when my mom goes( off season) or in the Summer.


Has anyone been lately or ever?

She landed yesterday and she didn't really care for the part of town she was staying in. I guess if your gonna be homeless, homeless in Hawaii couldn't be all that bad.

She is in Waikiki near or next to Honolulu for now.

Ive flown into Honolulu many times in the 80s. Waikiki is the tourist area as is most of the area in and around Honolulu. I have to imagine it has changed alot since Ive been there.
You will really like being out there....probably wont want to come back.

I've never been and can't imagine I would go for anyone other reason then my baby sis. Of all my sisters She is the best aunt to my kids. The kids love her, I love her, and oddly my husband likes her more then all my other sisters. Thanks, She really did give us a scare. She is 21 and extremely active, healthy, and her sudden illness as tragic as it was really helped her to grow. I promise to take and post pics. She is an avid skate boarder/snowboarder. She is pretty sure that learning to surf is right up the evolutionary ladder in those activities. She has a plan to make friends, she is hitting the first casino she lays eyes on and finding friends at the poker tables. She is really cool. Ok now I'm bragging. 8)

So I talked to my sis.

She moved to Hawaii with her boyfriend. He is pretty cool, only one character flaw .... ok maybe two but that's pretty good.

Anyway he got a job helping run construction projects. That's what he did here. I guess they have been working him since he stepped off the plane. My sister says she is two minutes from the Ocean but feels bad hitting the beach while he is busting his butt. So she has been walking everywhere. Says Waikiki is a big city on the out skirts of Honolulu. The company is bidding on a new construction project so they may be hopping islands by Dec. She has worked as a dental assistant but not sure if she wants to take a job doing that if they will be moving soon.
I guess there is a three hour difference. She hasn't got back online yet. Her boyfriend got them a company condo, company truck, and a company laptop but she has to get her own laptop. I asked her if she has hit the casino's yet and she said" Not yet".

She is not a drinker but she and her boyfriend are regular poker players.
I told her to take some pictures on her cell phone and send them to me but either she has been using it too much or it is broken. It doesn't seem to want to stay charged.
