As an aside, my best friend just pointed out that this was in the Roanoke Times today. If any of y'all see a hard copy of the paper today, you'll notice that they didn't properly caption the pictures.

They never "properly" caption pictures... let alone tell the true story.

I've driven "the gap" many times. Often in fog. I rarely see ANYONE driving carefully. Truckers and 4wheelers combined. I've even pushed it myself once or twice. Surprised there's not a wreck on that stretch EVERY night.
