I saw a couple trucks hooked up in Jackson, MS this morning. Appeared to be working.

Idleaire is re-opening in a few locations.

A company called Convoy Solutions is going to give it another go it appears.

I know Pilot in Laredo is one location and the one at JJ's (South of Little Rock) was almost ready last week. I was told one in PA is up and running...I'm guessing the All American TS...

They are gonna have a lot of maintenance issues since the equipment has been destroyed since February........

They have a list of locations at their website:

I hope idleaire makes a comeback. I never used it once except for times the parking was crowded due to having a tripac, Verizon air card, cell phone, and dozens of movies. When they started knocking the price down, I felt that would help it take off. The features that it had that all my stuff wouldn't do was pretty cool too. Heck, even fleets were jumping on the bandwagon which cut idling/maintenance costs and provided a comfortable setting for a driver.

I still don't see how it takes up a lot of parking lot space like some people have complained. From an overhead view, one could easily see it costs a lot only a few spots, but the roomy and angled pull-ins have to be a lot safer that 90* backings that usually are super tight ( eh hem Flying J Denver).

The TA in Harrisburg, PA tore out all the Idleaire equipment. I for one am glad. That place is way too small the way it is. I hope others follow suit.

I would be ok with it if they droped priceing and if the companys would pay for it, celedon only covered 1/2 the price and you paid for the other 1/2 so I could never see the benifit. on the other hand, when risinger brothers had company drivers, they footed the whole bill so yeh, i used it

IdleAir was a waste of money. It's cheaper to idle the truck
