Turned down for not listing dot inspection on application

2021 is not starting great for me, I had to quit a job because the carrier did not have their paperwork in order.
I applied for another I really wanted to work for and they told me they could not hire me because I had 'violations' I failed to disclose.
The application asked for all traffic convictions and forfeitures- which is the requirement by fmcsa.
I listed the one citation I got, didn't list a warning about running paper logs without glider certification... I was not cited.

This really gets me. I have no preventable accidents, only one citation for a lane violation on my record and have been driving class a since 2005.

I am starting to wonder if a previous company is badmouthing me.
