301 Harry Nice Bridge work Md/Va
 

Work is set to begin at the end of April and last till October 2017. Expect big delays as it appears 1 lane could be closed at times during the work.

VA is ready to pony up some money to help replace the bridge with a 4 lane one to replace this outdated 2 laner. MD Governor Hogan has rejected ANY replacement citing it as too costly. Mind you, MD owns the bridge and gets toll money from it. Hogan believes the bridge is fine as is...........

Thankfullly, I didn't get held up by that junk on Thursday when I went across it. The only "Nice" thing about that bridge is crossing back into the commonwealth... no, scratch that. It's when one finally passes by the chicken coop at Dahlgren.
