Repete, whatever they did to me is already wearing off. I hear it's not going so well for my instructor though. :p
some locals have been oot on the ice, fishing already, so I'm getting my gear ready. I was running into town for supplies the other day, and it was so cold, I almost froze my nuts off. I need to get them covered up for the winter, eh. :) http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...psccf7be08.jpg |

Not sure, Hoggie. That was a pretty small hole. Y'all count on catching SMALL fish? And, wait... where was the line and hook in his mouth when they pulled him out? And... why wasn't he gasping for air? (or water?) I call B.S. on the Big Fish! lol.
The guy said several times that the fish was all wrapped up in his line, yet.... NO line, hook, or sinker was apparent when he pulled him out of the hole by his tail? Naw.... I think you're "playing" us, Hoggie! But.... glad to see you back on the board! |

;) Hobo… I was most impressed those guys caught that fish, without one swear word! hahahaha :D
…and that they let that trout go. That trout had to be around 50 years old! Our lakers are not like most fish, that live a short life. |

Lol... about the little nutz! You guys ain't right!
The only time I have ever seen the inside of an ice fishing "shed," was in the movie Grumpy Old Men. I just remember the whole was big enough to pull a SHARK out of! lol. That "hole" was no bigger than a can of Campbell's soup! Which is more realistic, Hoggie? |
think you yanks be to cold to go fishing now fk ur weather looks **** here we are shorts and singlets to hot to even get out of mancave, fridge no god for beer have to use freezer lol
|
Merry Christmas Mitch, and Happy New Year! :D
:) Most winters I'll get enough snow to make a beer cooler. My back man cave door will look like the one in this photo, every winter. Last winter, the snow covered the whole opening. Hah! thanks to global warming, I'm in my shorts and t-shirt today too! Oh ya...It's warm as an arm pit here, aboot mid-turdy's and it's melting the snow, eh. :( Tomorrow it's supposed to get back to winter here. This is our last warm spell, before the deep freeze. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...SnowmanDog.gif http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...ian_fridge.jpg |

He was using an 8" in that video, and probably wishes he had a 10" auger. Lots of guy's who don't fish these BIG fish a lot, or expect to hook onto one, use the 6 or 8 inch auger, and then wish they had a bigger hole. Drilling 10" holes is W-A-Y harder, and also more dangerous, as then you have a hole big enough to step into, or drop stuff down. Bad if you have any kids around!… or drunks. ;) Holes bigger than that, we chop out with a spud, or cut out with a chainsaw, and those are only used with permanent size shanty's that keep the hole heated to keep it open, day after day, and not have to recut. There is a lot of method to our madness. Even still the Darwin award committee, really love us. :roll3: Can't wait to get back to my vacation cabin on the lake. But right now, we are having a heat wave! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPKs2Quk6Ts&spfreload=10 http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...ps3f33ec9e.jpg …………………………………………………………………………Hog's winter vacation cabin on the lake |
I prefer fishing in shorts when it is 80 or 90 degrees out. :o

Amen brother! :D That was my "Rockwell" moment last summer.
…twas aboot 9:30 in the morning, and I was drifting across my favorite smallmouth bass spot, in me boot-boot boo--boat… sorry where was I?… oh ya… annaways… it was warm with a slight breeze pushing me boot across the hole, and WAMmm- zzssssssssssssssss(sound of line peeling) aboot turdy yards off me bow, the biggest smallmouth I ever hooked, came up out of the water, doing that aerial waggle to toss the hook. He went aerial a couple more times, and did several runs as I got 'em close to me boot. It was a picture perfect moment, and my heart raced. Took me awhile to calm down afterward, it was that fantastic! :D picture of me barn in the snow, hope you had a good time with family and friends over Christmas, and Happy New Year. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...n_2_Dec_05.jpg |
Not as much snow this winter, but it's been cold. Been doing some ice fishing.

Got another Hog Mitch!
It's an antique I guess, 1991 Harley Fatboy. Had to sell my last one 6 years ago, because of medical bills, but I'll be back in the saddle this summer. Health is shot, but I can still ride. This only has 16,342 miles on it. These are the photos from the ad. I don't have my own photos yet. Just got it, yesterday. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...ps7rp4tozk.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...psm2yodigt.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...ps5hwt7pd4.jpg |

When you see the big ugly gorilla riding this and even making it look like a little circus bike, ones natural instinct is to lock the car doors. ;) |
GMAN, I hope you get yourself your dream bike, too!
I had to encourage myself somewhat with the notion, to even consider looking. I first saw the for sale ad about a month ago, but still needed to convince myself, to make it happen. For awhile I was hoping it would sell, so I wouldn't have to start getting serious. :) The bike kept sneaking into my into my thoughts and dreams, and soon one thing led to another. I'm very glad I did allow myself this, even if I only do some local rides now and then, it will be exciting. In Michigan, we can only ride 6 months out of the year. It's still too cold up here, with some snow/ice yet along the roads in shady areas. It's going to snow 2"-4" tonight, and we will see some more snow yet before the month of April is over. The worse thing for motorcycles in the Spring up here, is all the sand and gravel on the roads from the winter. It will be May before the roads get cleaned up and it's at least in the 50's. We still see below freezing temperatures at night through April. That is the hardest part of owning a motorcycle in Michigan, is all the waiting. Some people put their motorcycles in their living room for the winter. Too cold in the garage for it, you know. :p |

You got it at John Deere ?
|
Howdy m8 :) I see someone let you out of the Bunker again. ;)
Yep, they sell John Deere and Harley, and I'm hoping I can get a mower attachment for my bike. They sell yard equipment, motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATV's, UTV's, and service as well. Michigan Harley-Davidson Kawasaki Motorcycle ATV Dealer, Classic Motor Sports, Kawasaki Polaris John Deere utility-vehicle Snowmobile Watercraft Lawnmower Snowblower Tractor It's still too early to enjoy riding. We are suppose to start seeing mid-50's, but haven't seen it yet. Near freezing once the sun goes down. I'm getting my fish boat ready for the season, and might go fishing for perch this weekend. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...nd10/vtwin.gif potato-potato-potato-potato-potato-potato |
