Animals and Trucks

Watched a bed bugger nearly wipe out today right in front me...........he swerved to avoid a squirrel. I wasn't sure WTF he was doing, saw brake lights and him easing towards the shoulder before giving a nice jerk of the wheel towards the shoulder some more. Luckily the highway was empty at the time but I thought for sure he was going to roll it. Next time hit the squirrel, try explaining to homeowners why their furniture and such has to be replaced because a silly driver didn't want to hurt a squirrel.

"I'm telling you Margie, I'm lucky to be here!
I was trying to cross the road, ya know... and this sob came out of no where..
I got half way across, and froze, then tried to get back,..I was so scared, my nuts were in my mouth, and I didn't know what to do..."

I never swerved to miss a squirrel but I did swerve to miss a skunk! It's not good when you nail a skunk.

It's been a while since I got any animals. Hadn't seen many animals lately. Guess the drought has taken it's toll.

If I do have a deer or pig run in front of me, I stay as straight as I can, and lay down rubber.. The ones that jump right out in front of you, there's nothing you can do.. Just grit your teeth...

and i thought you jokas would run over anything since you allowed to eat roadkill in your country.or do you chicken out at the last minute like you do in America cup yacht races,,,,,girls

Dang Roadie, that first meme was exactly how it went down. In fact I thought the little rodent was going to run under my tires. It got to the other side then turned and watched as I went by. I think it may have been playing a game of chicken with it's buddies.

Dang mitch, that your truck cleaning out the ditch there? What you swerve to avoid an Aussie? Roadkill is legal to eat in this country? I know some states allow it..........I wouldn't want any that I normally see, not much left and flatter than a pancake.

I swerved to miss a deer one night. Missed it with the tractor, but the deer saw me at the last second and tried to stop. It slid under the trailer and the tandems nailed it.

Had a driver at WSThomas hit a black bear on I-64 in WV late one night. Destroyed the truck and the Dept of Natural Resources officer was going to fine him for killing a bear out of season (no joke). He received a warning for it.

How in the world does that guy expect a driver to just put seasoning on a bear before it becomes road kill?
