WV has had the roadkill law for years.

I would see no reason why anyone would ban that. After all, there is no reason that a perfectly edible deer should go to waste, just because the bullet was traveling 55mph and weighed 80,000lbs. Never mind that there may not be much deer meat left afterwards.

It's one way a driver can hunt.
Nice if you have a reefer, too. :)

I've had deer that were wasted, kinda looked like a grenade went off inside of it and I had one that ran into the side of my truck and broke its neck= no waste at all on that one! I limit road kill pretty much to deer except for fox and coyote hides.

Posted this to my facebook page last week.....

Somewhere, across the darkened landscape of New Mexico a few nights ago, a small bird and a skunk made a pact and decided to involve me in their plan to commit "suicide by Truck(er)!"
Were they abused by their parents? Or bullied by their peers? I guess we'll never know.
I kinda feel sorry for the little birdie who, perhaps just didn't set his goals high enough... or thought he was invincible and the master of the air he breathed.

But... I REALLY regret killing that poor skunk who obviously had just strayed from the straight and narrow, and onto the broader path of destruction.
The memory of HIS tragic demise staid with me for several days, and perhaps, haunts me still.

Sniff.... sniff.

And that "sniff sniff" can help speed you thru a DOT inspection! I got pulled in for one almost a week after I hit Pepe Lepue and when the officer slid under the truck the came shooting out almost at the same time she decided I didn't need a level 1.
