Free driver training?
 

A friend wants to get a CDL. He earned $29K in 2011. Any suggestions for NE Ohio schools/companies that could aid him?

any company that will aid him .... will make him sign a Very long contract to work for them .... no matter how little the miles they give him each week. I've seen drivers get caught in this trap - if you leave before you've worked long enough to pay them back - - - he'll still owe the balance to them and they'll let all the other companys know it too when he goes to apply somewhere else - - he would be way ahead to pay for his own schooling ... have him check with the employment office to see if they have any government programs he may apply for.... there use to be some around ... but the way the government has been these past few years .......... it might not be offered anymore..

Tell him to check with his local unemployment office. At 29k he probably made too much money to qualify for assistance but it's worth a try.
