The lift of the dumpster flew up and hit a railroad bridge, causing the truck to overturn, officials said.

The dumpster was empty at the time but some diesel fuel spilled onto the road, officials said.

Officials said drivers are being detoured off the Sycamore Street exit and taken through downtown Clarksburg.

Clarksburg Police are investigating the incident.

Oh the driver gets in plenty of trouble if it was something that was truly preventable and/or someone is hurt or killed.

I think your PTO engaged while you drive down the road is preventable. I don't see that bed raising high enough to catch the overpass any other way.

I know an O/O that left his PTO on and his dump body went up going down 95. Hit an overpass and took the dump body right off the truck. It was an alum body so it was softer then steel. That was about 20 years ago. He told me thank god it happen around 515am cuz there was hardly no cars on the road. Cuz when that body came off it was doing barrel rolls. Never hit another car or anything. He got messed up kinda bad. He bent the sterring wheel.
