Ferlin Husky

Some people may not even know who Ferlin Husky is, let alone listen to his music. I probably wouldn't have either, if my family wasn't old. :p

I have gotten hooked on watching Ralph Emery on RFDTV. My grand dad loved watching him. After they shut down TNN, I don't know what happened to all those old TNN shows. Since I have had dish network for the last few years, I found a lot of them on RFDTV. Anyway... I was watching Ralph Emery this morning (yes, he's still livin) and on the info menu, it said "the Late Ferlin Husky". I thought to myself, "Late?? Then how is he being interviewed?" Come to find out, Ferlin Husky passed away this last month, and apparently, Ralph Emery interviewed him earlier this year. He passed away March 17th, at 85.

This is old news, but it's new to me. Here's the link, for all those interested..

I know Ferlin Husky, sort of. I'm sure I've heard his music, and IIRC... he's one of the founding talents of the Grand Ole Opry.

Sorry to hear of his passing. My dad just turned 80. I hope I have more than just 5 more years with him.

His thoughts, words, music and talent have made him.... immortal. He'll be missed, but not forgotten.

Same with me Hobo. I knew who he was, but not like, Willie Nelson, ya know...
I know that he was big back in the 50's, 60's. He was one of the pioneers. I do know that.
