Do you talk back to your GPS lady?

I do. I use Streets & Trips and when Microsoft Anna lays into me about missing a turn and being "Off route!!!" I say something nasty to her, smile, and get back to driving.

Finally, I can talk to a woman the way I've always wanted to but lacked the courage. lol

My wife thought I was losing my mind when I got into a full blown argument with the stupid thing. But, I won the fight: I turned off the spoken directions.

The thing really drove me nuts when I'd come to an interchange, but was staying on the same interstate. It would say something like "Stay on I-40 for 59 miles". No crap?!? Really? I thought I was only going 59 miles on I-40, then taking the next 1,200 miles on backroads, just to get back onto I-40 10 miles before I deliver.

My Rand McNally atlas doesn't talk back to me.

Your Rand McNally atlas also won't show street level views of small towns, such as Farmington, WV (population approx 500), which my GPS will. Hell, a WV roadmap won't show it either, and unless you stop at the town hall, you won't find a map that shows the individual streets, let alone where a specific address is on that street.

Yes, but I still have my CB and cell phone. I always call the shipper or consignee for directions if I have not been to their facility before.

I nicknamed my GPS "Pelosi" after former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi because she's a deceitful, lying trickster. I often yell at her and call her a lying wh**e!

I always talk to the b**ch on my dash. "in 2 miles stay left" no chit, In other words " DON"T TAKE THE EXIT" stay on the highway.

I usualy say a few colorful words if I'm traveling at night and it says "it's late shouldn't you be sleeping?"

I usually say something like shut the f*** up or stop *&*( rubbing it in.

Once in a blue moon, I will. No, wait, I'm not talking BACK, since my GPS has no speaker. My trainees are quite baffled by that.
