Coffee mugs...
 

This is probably a stupid thing to ask.. but truckers do drink coffee :lol:
I'm looking for a coffee mug. I'm not talking about the ones that hold a gallon, but like, something you can get at Wal Mart or somewhere..
Seems like the ones I have bought, either leak or the coffee comes out so fast, it's like drinking fire. :hellno: .
I saw some Stanley stainless mugs at Wal Mart, but I didn't get one. Didn't know which one to get.
What are some good coffee mugs, or which "model" or "type" is good?
If yall went to a truck stop, or Wal Mart for an example, what brand/type of mug would you get?

I got a 24oz mug from pilot. Fits great in the cupholder. I also have 2 thermos that we got as safety awards. Both are Stanlys. One holds a pot, and I MEAN A POT of coffee. The other holds enough to fill my mug. Both keep my coffee hot for hours.

I have a Thermos brand coffee mug that I got at Wal Mart. It holds 24oz and I love it. One thing really nice about it is that it has a screw on lid with a rubber gasket to keep it from leaking. It'll keep a cup of coffee hot for roughly 2 hours. My thermos is a Stanley, and it also holds a pot of coffee (1/2 gallon to be exact).

This made me really want a nice cup 'o joe.
So I made a hot robust Starbucks Caffe' Verona.
It's a BOLD roasty sweet dark cocoa with intense flavor.

This full-bodied nectar of the God's is a blend of...
Latin American, Asia/Pacific and Italian Roast.

It reminds me of the flavor of a fire-roasted
marshmallow after you pull off the darkened cap. :thumbsup:

I like the 20-24 oz. size Alladin wide base, narrow top, and always get the plastic insulated ones, with the snap on- one hand operation lid, and this cup is easy to clean. This won't fit built-in cup holders, but I hate the tall narrow mugs.

I know this can bubble out coffee when tipped over, and they only keep coffee hot for about an hour, but that works for me, plus you can use them in a microwave. These mugs run from $5-10 bux.

I like S/S for a thermos with a screw in cork, that will keep coffee hot for about 6 hours, but that was back when I worked construction, and had a set coffee break, and a set lunch break.

As simple as it sounds I feel your pain brother! I gotta talk with my uncle he has a mug that's been faithful for years on the road.

I have the 24 oz cup from Pilot as well. I like it. I tried some others but you can't beat their price and a free cup of coffee to go with it. Mine are close to 6 months old now and holding up very well.

I may have to try the 24oz from Pilot. I assume the flyin hook will have one. Thanks. Good replies.

I saw my Doc, for the results of my last blood test, and he asked me straight away, if I was Colombian.
Anyway, he felt I had a serious addiction.
That only made me sweat, and my hind leg started to fidget. I fussed about feeling caged in, and ran off in a panic.

I got up this morning and experienced Deja' Brew, after dreaming last night about the good 'ol days of the Brew Wars, when we kicked some tea drinkers butt.
I remembered the inspirational words of General Yulick de Balzac;

After several cups 'o joe, I remembered in great detail how this all started.

Today I'm going to invent coffee perfume. (snicker heh heh) ... and fondly reminisce one morning at the Brew Wars DMZ.

Kilgore: I love the smell of coffee in the morning. You know, one time we had a coffeemaker we brewed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. I didn't find one cup, not one lousy cup left. The smell, you know that rich aromatic smell, the whole bean. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... I'm gonna open me a coffee shop...call it VictoryBucks ...StarBean or something like that.
