I am at the Ambest in Big Cabin,OK.I'll be leaving here wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy early like 1 am tonight.I have to be in Dallas 6 am.I told my dispatcher it'll be there between 6 and 8 tomorrow.Thank god I have a fast trk,LOL.I won't speed or anything stupid but once I hit that 70 mph mark,you bet your sweet azz ill be doing every bit of that,LOL.I don't know how drivers can drive a 62 mph trk without having to pull over and take a nap,LOL.

True Story, (I know, that usually means it's not, but it is).:cool:

I went to Batesville Arkansas in August for a Dirt Track race. We went to check in at the Motel, (Ramada Inn), and we were met by the female desk clerk's. You know the kind with the lip rings, eyebrow rings, cheek ring wearing neck tatoo kind of person that normally works at the front desk of an establishment. (Not that there's anything wrong with that, just kind of the set up).

So we get checked in and I asked her, "Is the track right off of Rte 25?". She then replies, I don't know what that means:eek2:. So I ask again, "The Racetrack? Is it off of ROUTE 25? She say's, "I still don't know what that means".:eek2::eek2:

So then I say to her, "Is the racetrack off of the road, hwy, rte #25?" She then started laughing and said, "I have a GPS, I don't know about any of that stuff means!":banghead:

I spent much of my youth as a night auditor / desk clerk for a major (smaller) hotel chain. I have no tattoos nor piercings. :lol:

I REST MY CASE in all other threads about GPS and the "dumbing down of trucking!" :lol::thumbsup::lol2:

But, your story shows that it is not JUST trucking and truckers who have lost the ability to think for themselves.

You ought to see my old dusty "truckers" atlas. I think it's from the late 90's. I have duct tape for my front cover and the spine is all tore up but it still works, (the map):thumbsup: I pulled it out last week, (the map:smokin:), and my wife about laughed me out of the house:lol2:
