12 Volt In Cab TV's...
Anyone brought one of those TV's they sell in the Truck Stops?? Naxa or Skyworth??? are they worth the price tag??
|
I have never owned a TV that ran on 12 volt power. I have always preferred to have a regular TV and inverter. That way you can take it in the house if you decide to come off the road. They are also less expensive than those that you plug into a cigarette lighter.

The inverter could have been too small. You need to check your TV and see how much power it uses and then find an inverter that will work. If you had something else running off the inverter at the same time it could also affect the power needs of the TV. My inverter died several months ago and I had to purchase a new one. I mainly use it for my computer and printer when I am on the road. The inverter is smaller and won't power the printer and computer at the same time. If I unplug the computer the printer works just fine. That could have been what happened in your situation.

An LCD TV should work better on an inverter because of the lower power usage it needs, especially when it's turning on. |

What type of antenna do you prefer for a local signal. Any suggestions?
|
one thing we found we HAD TO HAVE was a signal booster.. like this Walmart.com: RCA 10dB Video Signal Amplifier: TVs it helps ALOT. a digital tv needs a MUCH stronger signal to pick up anything
