Sheesh, details details.;);) I think all of us here know that the box truck was a dry van if you look at the pics and does it really matter which it really was, the driver still wasn't paying full attention and plowed into the back of stopped traffic.

The box truck hit the flatbed first followed by 2 asphalt trucks piling in behind the box truck. The flatbed did nothing wrong other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sorry!!! You're absolutely correct. I don't know HOW I got the order AND the details wrong. I didn't notice the video on the linked site. I only looked at the 19 pictures and read the story. Then, without having it available to double check, I made my post from memory. I TOLD you my memory is screwing up these days!

My apologies to all "Skateboarders" out there! Your commrade was not at fault! ;)

Since the story mentioned a box truck, and the first picture was obviously an 18 wheeler, I thought IT was the flatbed, that the box truck had disintegrated, and whatever....

Anyway.... thanks to all for the corrections. I'll try to do better NEXT time! But.... my "rant" still stands!!! :lol2:

Well.... I would have said that, and "I" always try to drive with my mind on what can happen to the "civilians" if I fruck up. And I am ALSO always aware of how MY life can be in danger from all the "screw-ups" I see driving big rigs everyday!

But, since SO many professional drivers (not meaning anyone on CAD) drive like THEY are all they think of.... I thought it prudent to remind us ALL that we don't get HOME if WE don't drive smart and defensively!

Be SAFE out there Y'all! (that's the collective Y'all!) ;)

Does this thread sound familiar?

I am reminded of an earlier conversation on a related topic . .

It's a different hazard with a similar result. Don't let this happen to you.
