Jesus Statue Destroyed by Act of GOD!
Here you go, Robertt, since you like MSNBC and Olberman so much....
Sorry, you'll have to wade through yet another condemnation of the "Beckster" and some IDIOT in Arizona. But, stick with it for the "worst in the World!" Jesus Statue Destroyed By Act Of God! Video Note: Olberman is seldom wrong about anything, but he has made a few mistakes lately. I'm sure SOMEONE will tell him that a landmine would probably NOT set off a nuclear bomb. But, that's another story. ;) I'm sorry if anyone is offended. I just thought it was hilarious that an "act of God" destroyed a statue of Jesus. Apparently, the rightwingnuts are all atwitter (and enraged) about it all over the net. Just google my title to see how pizzed off some people are. |
I'm not a church type guy but I thought Touchdown Jesus was one of the coolest sites on the side of the highway to pass. Just 2 weeks ago I asked my wife to snap a pic of it for some odd reason on our way up to Dayton. Wonder if they will replace it, none of the articles I've read has said anything about that.

Hmmm.....
Maybe they forgot to bless it..... :roll3: |
I passed by that church a few weeks ago. It was an unusual sculpture. I wondered what material they used to make it.

Funny, I thought that lightning was an act of Nature, especially since popular media has been saying God is dead for decades. Now they can blame God for something. Or maybe He just good taste, that statue was hideous.

Those who believe in Science, know that all "believers" attribute everything in nature TO "God." [As did the early Greeks and Romans who had a "GOD" for every ACT of nature.] I don't believe that "popular media" has ever said (seriously) that God was DEAD. RIGHTWING media would NEVER say such a thing, and LIBERAL media wouldn't do so either. The religious RIGHT doesn't believe he ever DIED. The Atheists (I guess that's what you think all LIBERAL media is) would never say so... because they [supposedly] don't believe there IS such a thing as GOD. Given the two dichotomic beliefs, I don't see how ANYONE would say (let alone believe) that GOD is dead! He either IS... and never DIED. Or never WAS... and therefore could never DIE! The HUMOR in this situation is that those who BELIEVE in God must be puzzled by the fact that HE struck down a statue of his "only begotten." You can't blame THIS on Liberals! And you can't EXPLAIN it away, either. |
In any case it has started people talking.
