A company I used to drive for would give the drivers "suggested routing". And, of course, the dispatcher tried to enforce that routing. Suggested routing in VT was from White River Junction to Rutland on US-4... With 53' trailers and no permits to go that way. I never heard if they collected any fines for that, but I do know that 3 of their drivers collected more than $30,000 in fines for crossing a bridge in Chicago.
We were sent a message, via Qualcom, DO NOT CROSS THIS BRIDGE... But, they never did tell us just which bridge it was. That was also the end of "suggested routing".:lol: |
