Covenant Transport Kicks some butt with earnings.

Hey guys I was researching stocks and came across this story. It seems Covenant is purchasing 900 new trucks and selling 900 old ones. The CEO also said they were having problems filling the empty trucks that they have. I guess if anyone needs a job heres a company that is on track with making money.

Maybe they make it by not giving any to the drivers. HEHEHEHEHE.

Next up for earnings release is YRCW. This company has had a very difficult time because it's loaded with debt. The company almost filed bankruptcy last December but did a stock to cash swap. They are working very hard to get back on track to profitability.

Earnings release for YRCW is May 4th. The estimates by analysts show a projected EPS to be -.48/per share. Last year this quarter they reported a -2.63. Regardless if they show a profit or just meet the negative projected EPS they are improving.

If they show a profit the stock price will shoot through the roof. Still long term they are going to have to address the debit problems that they have.

So far J.B. Hunt, Old Dominion, Universal Truckload, Covenant, C.H.Robinson, and Celadon have all posted Year over Year quarterly profits. Transforce a Canadian company posted profits as well.

Arkansas Best, Saia and USA Truck have all posted Year over Year losses. Primarily due to overall debt and operational problems.

Quality Distribution...owner of Quality Carriers reports earnings on May 4th as well. They are expected to have a blow out quarterly profit and are rated as a strong stock buy. All analysts agree this company will report a huge profit. We will soon see.

Several other trucking companies and industry related companies are about to release earnings as soon as next week.

Marten is among the companies to release earnings on May 4th as well.
