I found this VERY interesting WW. There is a fault line right TRHOUGH Iceland, and some of the other areas that have been active lately. I GOOGLED "fault lines" and a world map popped up. Very informative site. I thought it was interesting that when I googled it, it brought up mostly oklahoma fault lines. I just think it's funny we are such a "hotbed" for this, well......it's funny NOW.

Actually.... it runs all throughout our lives, and every country where soldiers die, and through our economy and, most importantly... throughout our intensely divided politics.

I'd be even more interested in just why the activity has been increasing in recent years. Is that why the Mayan Calender stops in 2012? The activity will reach it's peak and wipe out the world we know?:eek1::roll3:

Some say it doesn't stop in 2012...it just starts over. We shall enter into a new age of "enlightenment", possibly a slightly higher level of existence.

Not too worry....nobody is going to turn out the lights.

if anyone here listens to o&a on xm or sirius they had dr. michu kaku (w/e its spelt). he was saying that there is no spike in earthquakes or volcanos. most of them are just under the water.

And, for the most part, the ones that happen underwater, are down in the ocean trenches where the plates are moving apart.

I haven't said anything about a "spike", but looking back to 1950, and bringing up the data to the present, the number of earthquakes each year has been increasing. I think it was 1993, there were only 4 earthquakes listed for the whole year. In the last two years, (2008 and 2009) the list of earthquakes around the world was as long as your arm. More than in any previous year. I had not even thought about volcanic eruptions.
