can you believe a truck driver could be THIS stuped....?

Lots of "drivers" use their laptops while driving down the road, not just truck drivers are guilty of this. Media sensationalism at it's best, why does it matter to anyone that he was watching porn. Wonder if they would have put "Driver was using Street & Trips trying to figure out where he was going in fatal crash" if that was the case? If it was a muder or a rapist they would have put that everything was alleged to be true, but since it is a truck driver he is automatically guilty and has no perceived innocence. There is no way to know what really happened, the lady that died was parked in the middle of the road. Sounds as though he might have had some log violations, but according to what the officer was quoted on in the story what he did was not illegal. The government has no legislation requiring a specified amount of time someone has to sleep every day.

Stupidity is not limited to Truckers. Nor is it the norm. Unfortunately no one does anything in the way of educating the public to change that view. And the only thing the public sees are the worst of the industry. It is amazing that the large companies do not organize to sponsor a positve publicity/educational campaign. All the money they spend lobbying, you would think they would benefit by using a portion to project a more positive public image.

I'll never forget the woman that came into the truck stop, called a tow-truck to get her SUV out of the ditch, then waited for them to bring it over to her. Then she started telling how she had been following the car in front of her. When it went off the road, so did she.

A short while later, the car showed up with the tow-truck behind it. She asked if they had much trouble getting it out... "No ma'am. Started it, put it in 4-wheel drive and it came out on it's own."..... For $85 out of her purse...:rofl::rofl::clap::bow:
