BBC News - World's fastest train unveiled in China
,,China now has the fastest train in the world. It runs from the central city of Wuhan down to the south coast, at a speed of more than 380km/h. '' ,,As China's economy and population expand, so do its transport needs. Although car ownership is on the increase, the Government is investing more in the railways.'' Our government is investing in over bloated real estate and banks which should have fail. 10 years from now we will be what they were 50 years ago compared to us. |
Just how fast is 380km per hour? What is that in mph?
I saw that little video they had on there. That drink and cigarette on the window seal. That's smooth, but just how many bumps do hit on a set of tracks? :hellno: :p |
380 kph should be about 236 mph.

or 105 mph, whichever comes first

Hey Wabbit... not real scientific, but I usually just use one and a half to convert. IOW.... 60 mph is about 90 kph. 50 would be 75, etc. To convert back, just figure mph is about 2/3rds of kph. It's not exact.... don't push the cops over it for a ticket.... but it'll keep you in the discussion. ;) |

I believe you can multiply kph by .62 and that should be close. If I remember correctly 100 kph is equal to 62 mph.

That wouldn't take long to get where you're going. |
2+2 does not equal 4... your math is fuzzy to begin with. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...nd10/shrug.gif
