53ft Load of Liquor Gone!!!

Trucker beaten, robbed of trailer full of liquor - WXIN

I checked the hours on the distributor where this happened in Indy, 8am - 5pm. The theft was around midnight.

I used to haul stuff like this, and the last place you would want to camp out was an empty parking lot, be it the shipper or consignee unless there is security. These crooks knew what they were doing, having a truck there ready to go. Always try to find a truck stop to park at, preferably a busy one, and keep your yap shut about your cargo. Don't do like this guy and think you will be safe. He is lucky they did not kill him.

And after Googling the address and seeing it is right in the middle of the circle, which is the last place on the planet that I would have stayed, he is lucky to be alive. I would have headed down to Whiteman and spent the night at the FlyingJ.

That is unreal. :eek2:

Those 2 guys were smart enough to drop the trailer, and then hook up to another truck? Wow.
Hopefully, they will find those 2.

Sad for the driver.

I used to haul Jack Daniels whiskey back when I pulled a box around. I NEVER, EVER used to tell anyone what I had on the trailer. If someone asked I would tell them rolls of paper or not say anything. Any time you haul freight such as whiskey, beer, cigarettes, etc., you need to keep a low profile. This type of freight is high risk. When you haul this type of freight you need to be very watchful of your surroundings.

That right there should go without saying no matter what you're hauling.
