Apparently, the Bay Area holds the whip to the rest of the state.

And, at some point, when a 4-wheeler rear-ends a truck, both parties need to take the state into court and make the state liable because of the split-speed laws.:pissedoff:

Some of the Chicago Newscasters are saying that it will be Blood on the Hihgways starting Jan 1 when this goes into effect. However how many companies out there have trucks that run FASTER than 65. Not to many I know of out there.

But isn't it ironic that we complain about safety of the split speed limits and use the 4-wheeler going to rear end us as an excuse but then we drive 60 - 65 in a 75 MPH zone to conserve fuel and that is safe! Sometimes you just gotta shake your head and say HUH???

How's the speed limit change worked for Ohio thus far? What was it, 3 months ago they dropped the split speeds?

I think the magic number is 70 to get a troopers attention in Illinois.

I usually feel safe running 64-65, but from what I've seen anything more usually gets you a trophy. Of course when you come through a city, you better be slowing down.

As slow as i have been driving lately i might just get a ticket for it..

...but i've been getting 6.7 mpg on 57-60 mph...
