Chickenfoot??

Supergroup with Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Micheal Anthony, and Chad Smith. Check them out...I am more stoked about this than I was the last ac/dc/album.

The clips i have heard so far seem to be pretty decent...nice to finally see Satriani play in a proper band with a singer for a change.

Classic Rock is sooooo over.

Turn the page....... Staind just did an excellent cover of this on Howard Stern this morning.

On a long and lonesome highway, east of omaha.
You can listen to the engine moaning out its one lone song
You can think about woman, or the girl you knew the night before,
But your thoughts will soon be wandering, the way they always do.
When your riding sixteen hours and theres nothing much to do
And you dont feel much like riding, you just wish the trip was through.
Say, here I am, on the road again. there I am, up on the stage.
Here I go, playing star again.
There I go, turn the page.
Well you walk into a restaurant, strung out from the road,
You can feel the eyes upon you as your shaking off the cold
You pretend it doesnt bother you, but you just want to explode.
Most times you cant hear em talk, other times you can.
Oh the same old cliche, as that woman on her a man
You always see my number, you dont dare make a stand.
Here I am, on the road again. there I am, up on the stage.
Here I go, playing star again.
There I go, turn the page.
Out there in the spotlight your a million miles away,
Every ounce of energy, you try and give away,
As the sweat pours out your body like the music that you play.
Later in the evening as you lie awake in bed,
With the echo from the amplifiers ringing in your head,
You smoke the days last cigarette, remembering what she said.
Now here I am, on the road again. there I am, up on the stage.
Here I go, playing star again.
There I go, turn the page.
Here I am, on the road again. there I am, up on the stage.
Ah here I go, playing star again.
There I go, there I go.

Great classic rock song! Bob Seger , from Michigan ya know.

Why is everyone doing remakes anyway? Movies, songs... what happened to originality?

Bored they are....just making "music" for dollars? Lost their drive?

Seems the really good ones have moved on, and the new ones tend to lack the exploratory drive to make the music.... Like Robin Trower and others....

YouTube - Robin Trower - Bridge Of Sighs - 1977 Robin Trower

But, Trower is still at it....old dog that he is: Robin Trower - TrowerPower.com
Robin Trower - The Fool and Me - Royal Oak, Detroit, 2008 on Vimeo

There are some others out there..... who bend the leading edge with some originality.... and this guy is one of my favorite: YouTube - Beck - Loser Yup, "Beck" singing "Loser"..... Another good one: YouTube - 3 Doors Down - Loser
He has an interesting "dark side".....but still drives the music!! Good late night jams!!:smokin:

here's a song by the lonely island crew called "on a boat. the song and video are making fun of rap videos that are shot on a boat just off the coast of miami, the bahamas, and so on.

I can sit around and listen to On A Boat over and over. The lyrics to that tune are just flipping hillarious. "I'm the king of the world I'm on a boat like Leo if you're on the shore then you're sure not me-o!"
