Orange, you have proven a valid point here, the cdl i have isn't fake, however, i do see that i have to re-do everything because of what George Ryan did to get elected governor.

Let me clarify something to you Cdswans, my CDL is from MISSOURI, NOT ILLINOIS, when CRST put me through training, they told me i had 30 days to get my missouri license corrected. My question to you nay sayers is: HOW CAN YOU CORRECT YOUR OUT OF STATE CDL TO A CORRECTED STATE CDL WHEN YOU ARE ON THE ROAD FOR THOSE 30 DAYS?

FAKE? Are you serious? What i did not state is what state my CDL was from...I have a Missouri CDL, not a "FAKE one" by any stretch, went to a local community college that provides CDL training, they told me its gonna cost me $2800 (which my broke arse doesn't have) for 4 to 6 weeks of training.

Why the need to shred your CDL? Simply because you are frustrated with the regulations?

You correct your CDL issues, by taking the time to stop and do so. Most states have licensing bureaus which have truck access now. That wasn't always the case...in some states it is still not the case. But Illinois is one of those states that has always had offices with truck access. Lot's of farms in Illinois. You can stop at any office...you don't have to stop at the office closest to your home, even though many state employees prefer it like that.


Clarify for all of us. You have been running on a Missouri issued CDL since 2003, while maintaining your home in the state of Illinois? When you went to the Illinois licensing office, was your current CDL already expired and you put down on the paperwork that you have been a resident of Illinois since before the 2003 issuance of your Missouri CDL?

By taking the time to go get it done. Something as important as your livelyhood should take priority. Just sayin'.

Orange, you aren't from illinois are you? I will grant you that there are offices for CDL tests to be done, what you fail to see is that NONE of them provide a TRUCK AND TRAILER to take the test with. In one of my responses i stated i cannot afford to go to a CDL school, that should of given you a clue i may not have a truck and trailer because i may of had to sell it to get cash to buy food.

As was already stated, since you already took a skills test in another state (hence the fact that you had a CDL), you should have been grandfathered in, and no CDL test was required. If they told you otherwise, then it was in error.

True, my livelihood should of taken priority, but some people with some of these companies are real perticular on who they hire. Its not a question of IF, its a question on WHEN i can come up with $2800 for a 6 week course and when i do get THE CORRECTED LICENSE, now it comes down to IF, i get hired by any company like J.B. Hunt, Schnider, Swift, USeless Express, Crete, and a few others i have not worked for prior to the date of this post, i may have to decline these companies offer because they had more than ample time when i still have/had my Missouri CDL. It takes money and time put in to get THE CORRECTED CDL, regardless what you nay sayers state.

Easy..........you go in to the situation knowing what your home state laws are regarding this matter. Upon receiving your CDL from CRST, you tell them that you need a day to get to Illinois to transfer it over and that you will be available anytime after that for training. Ummmm....before you begin your denials....I went through CRST school also (Kirkwood College, Cedar Rapids, IA). So I am familiar with CRST, and how they will work with noobs. Your story holds absolutely no water. Actually, your story is complete bullshit.
