Does a 401K make sense?
 

Would it be wise to double down, or fold the tent?

I have not heard what the plans are for the 401Ks. Can't tell you anything about the future of any of them.

I'm still investing, but who knows what's gonna happen. I thought that no one could touch your 401K, but apparently Crocka Osama can.

Now can be a good time to buy stocks with the market being down. The market will rebound. You need to look at the long term rather than what is happening right now. Whether times are good or bad the market will constantly be going up and down. One reason the bail out occurred was due to pressure from those who lost much of the value of their 401k's. They panicked. These banks and investment houses did a great job of manipulating the market to scare those with retirement accounts to contact their congressional representatives to pass the bill. Now these executives who have mismanaged their clients portfolio's are being rewarded with bonuses and high salaries. Our tax dollars at work.

2, I'd bust camp right now. Reason is Hillary talked one time about taxing IRA's for a one time ( yea, I bet ) 15% to fund her universal (socialist) health care plan. I'd bet this topic will come up again with the new Prez.

With the government now owning the banks with the bailout, nobody's money is safe.

Get your dough, pay the tax, buy gold or silver and hide it in your house. Might want to pick up a few guns and ammo before Jan 09 just to be safe :lol:

Well, the DJIA performance has certainly been a fearsome spectacle, here lately. A little digging turned up some interesting stuff.

It seems that we are witness to train wreck, in real time.
It seems to be in slow motion, but it is actually happening at lightening speed, for gov't time.

The market is sending a message that there is an assault on the capital markets .
The crash that is coming, will make the Great Depression look like good times.

You should avoid any further investigation, if you are feint hearted. I leave you to your own judgment, concerning recent events.
