Latest alleged Palin Gaffe

Well I thought it was my turn to start a Political thread.

I could not believe what I have been hearing about for the last 3 days, every morning on the news and in the papers.

The republican party spent $150,000 on a wardrobe and accessories for Sarah Palin. And after the campaign they are going to donate them to charity.

Now can anyone explain why I am supposed to care about this? I mean really, she is running for VP Of the USA, blue jeans and tee shirts just don't cut it. If she even tried to wear the same outfit at two rallies in the same day she would be roasted by the media and Joan Rivers. I don't think I need to point this out but, I did not donate to the Republican Party :)

So let's review..

1. Nightmare Wardrobe Requirement
2. Running to be the 2nd in line to be the Leader of the Free World
3. Not my money
4. Country in the midst of 2 wars and financial meltdown

And we are supposed to care about a wardrobe? And before you say anything about Left Wing Media, Faux news ran the story as well, I even heard it mentioned this morning.

Incidently, I love being a man. I doubt I have spent more than $150 all year on my wardrobe :)

Good, I hear the surgery is costly.

That says little, apples to apples baby.....

How much do you spend on your big boy toys? electronics, cars, atvs, etc.

That is the true comparison, because I doubt you spend a whole lot on feminine products either, or do you:eek1:?

.

You want to pick on her Mary fine I can't barely stand to hear her speak and her answers are below par.
But she happens to be going where few women have gone and under a whole lot of pressure and eyes on her.

I realize it's an important job and she should be calm under pressure.
I am not her biggest fan but phuck respect the fact that she is breaking ground. Come on.

Cheap shots if you ask me.:pissedoff:.

I spent $12 on a new pair of tights last night. Ripped out the knee of my other pair, working on the undercarriage of the BatBoard.

Geraldine Anne Ferraro (born August 26, 1935) is an attorney and a Democratic politician and a former member of the United States House of Representatives. She was the first female Vice-Presidential candidate representing a major American political party.[1]

nope no ground breaking here, move along.

Well actually, it WAS kinda groundbreaking. It was no real surprise when the so-called "liberal" Democrats nominated a woman to a major ticket. But, when the Conservative....keep 'em barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen.... crowd picked one, it was a major surprise!

It was ALSO just a cheap, desperate attempt to prop up a failing campaign. And it might have worked.... had the election been held before she opened her mouth. :lol2:

I agree, and that was the point of this thread. I certainly ain't no fan either but I like to debate facts and important issues not haircut's and dresses. I kinda thought the media went off track on this one. Now I need to take a shower because I am actually defending Palin.

p.s. I spent nothing on cars, ATV's, feminine hygiene products or electronics this year. I am a cheap SOB :)
