Well I'm back in the saddle... err... sleeper again. :lol: Started Monday with Beacon Transport out of Nashville. Here's me new ride...

You'll find out the hard way about keeping that sucker clean though- lol! We refused to have a black truck even though I think they're really sharp looking. We have a black pickup and a black SUV at the house and they always look like crap because black shows everything.

I hope that doesn't sound like I'm peeing in your corn flakes. I don't mean to- that's my jealous nature coming out wishing I had a black truck but knowing I'd never keep it looking nice! That is a nice looking ride and I hope they treat your right!

Will do belpre, Beacon seems to run through Indiana a lot... hell I've been throught there twice this week already.

They are so far tweety, I had a load I picked up in Waterloo, IA yesterday that delivers in Grovetown, GA Monday. The route took me through the Lavergne, TN terminal so they gave a few options when I got there... one was to give up the load and take another to keep rolling, one was to keep the load and do some local work this weekend while waiting to deliver, and the 3rd was to just take a 34 and sit till it delivers. I optioned for the 3rd so I went home for a couple days (where I'm at now with a cold beer in hand :wink: ). I got to Lavergne this morning at 09:15 and got to the house at noon. I dont have to be in GA till 07:00 Monday so I'll leave here Sunday morning early, get to the terminal around 8 or 9, and be in GA Sunday evening ready to deliver Monday.

Black is beautiful... fortunatly I dont have to worry about keeping it that way. Most of our routes run us through Nashville one ot two times a week and they have contracted a truck washer on site.

I like the Volvo's but I wish this one had more power. Its a 2005 with almost 400k miles and it has a 400 Cummins in it with a 10 speed, but thats not enough. I picked up a 42,550lb load of truck tires in Spartanburg, SC going to Monee, IL and I could only do 20 mph through the mountains of NC. I delivered on time but it got me behind.

sweet looking truck ridge .... do keep us update on how it's going with your company. Whats the main you haul or do you know that yet ? ...

My understanding is their 2 main customers are Bridgestone and John Deere... and thats all I've hauled so far. Runs are mainly south-east, mid-west, and a little south-west... Texas mainly. Seems to be a good company so far, but time will tell.

Are you still there, I am scheduled for orientation next week.
