Spooky experiences

Was just wondering if anyone would like to share any spooky experiences that they may have had while trucking, that scared the living faeces off them. Am just curious, that's all.

Haven't ever been scared while driving.

Fellout of a rig derrick once...that was pretty intense for about 3 seconds.

Frickin cold for 4 hours.

I was south of Wamsutter WY on an Amoco well...in January.

Slipped off the traveling blocks while trying to rig iron 60 feet off the floor.

Very very intense 3 seconds. LOL...fell in love with "Fall Protection"!!

Hated heights after that.

You mean, like coming east out of CA on I-40? Everything normal when starting out, but half way to Needles, having a passenger in the other seat, and never having stopped anywhere? Something like that? Red velvet dress with white lace, red hair done in a bun and button-hook shoes? Get the impression that she's one of five buried in the bottom of a dried up river-bed? The remains of two were washed away by high water? Then, a few months later, someone tells you that CHP found three bodies near there and all were buried so close they could not understand how they could bury another without digging up one of the others? You mean like that?

Or running up US-41 in IN? Looking up and thinking "I GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE. THERE'S GONNA BE A PLANE COMING DOWN AND IF I'M HERE, IT'LL COME DOWN ON ME." Call the FAA and get 120 questions to which the answer is "I DON'T KNOW.". But, a week later, a commuter plane ices up, falls out of the sky into northeast IN, and all 57 on board are killed. Is that what you mean? Not sure the spelling... Schererville? Something like that. Reb might remember, it was about 12 years ago or so.

Nope. I'll never admit to anything like that. They'd be measureing me for a STRAIGHT-JACKET.

1)Had a Swift guy turn left out in front of me on Hwy 24 in Ohio the other day...never been on the brakes so hard in my few short years of doing this.

2)Also had a TMC fellow run me onto the right shoulder...i could see in my mirrors as this was happening that he was preoccupied with something....dont know what. ...Qual Comm....porno...food...who knows.

Its too easy to get comfortable in these machines...and forget they r 40 tons

Or driving down the road in the middle of the night & all of the sudden seein a combine that takes up the whole damned road & leaving rubber for 100 yards cause ya just KNOW yer gonna hit it...& ya finally get stopped & there's nuthin there, and you hear on the news the next day that a trucker was killed cause he hit a combine on the highway in broad daylight?

Nope not me...same as Windy...I stay silent on those...

How about traveling East on I-24 in Tennessee with a load of cars. Just as soon as I start off the mountain I lose my brakes and engine. The brakes didn't work due to the engine not running. I found out later the engine blew. I coasted about 2 or 3 miles from the foot of the mountain. There was no way to get to the exit ramp from the right side. The exit ramps were on the left side of the highway and a lot of traffic in between. Is that what you had in mind?

I guess a little clarification is due, on the purpose of my query.....

When I said "spooky", I meant the paranormal kind. Would love to hear of any experiences.

Being in Jersey City and looking up again. Two planes are going to crash in the air. Only thing that made sense was a mid-air collision. That was Sept. 5, 2001...

Like I said... Nope. I'll never admit to anything like that. They'd be measureing me for a STRAIGHT-JACKET.
