I wonder if the driver of the semi fell asleep? This is gonna haunt him for the rest of his life. I'm pretty sure he's looking at some jail time.

I remember glancing at the TV and I seen that on Fox 2 but I was heading out the door so I didn't get a chance to hear what happened. I'm getting ready to read it now.

Police Release Identities of Victims Killed on Interstate 64

(KTVI - myFOXstl.com) --

TOWN AND COUNTRY, Mo. -- Three people remain in critical condition, a day after a massive accident on Interstate 64 in suburban St. Louis.

Two people died and 16 were injured in the pileup Tuesday in Town and Country, Missouri.

Charles Cason of Caseyville, Illinois, and Lydia Miller of Canton, Missouri, were killed in the crash. Both were 55.

The accident happened when a tractor-trailer rammed into 10 vehicles. The Missouri State Highway Patrol identifies the tractor-trailer driver as 49-year-old Jeffrey Knight of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He wasn't hurt.

Authorities haven't yet said why the tractor-trailer was unable to stop.

No charges have been filed.

I don't know if there has been any updates? This is what they are saying on website. They always have to blame it on a trucker if a truck is involved. Any one want to bet the accident was between the cars and the truck just happened to be in the wrong spot wrong time and it wasn't his fault.

The media blows monkey @!#$

Keep the updates coming......

That is the only news channel I watch is Fox 2. I do hate how they describe an accident involving a tractor trailer. They always make it seem like the driver was at fault. If it involved 10 cars then I guess traffic was starting to back up and if it was around 4pm then that is when rush hour starts. I forgot what time I seen it but anyway you can't automatically blame the trucker cause you don't know if he had a heart attack, stroke, or even a seizure (undiagnosed condition). There are just too many things to take into consideration when it comes to accidents involving a tractor trailer. It doesn't help when cars be cutting off tractor trailers and driving like maniacs around them.

Given that a fair portion of one of the cars is a mutilated mass under the left front steer of the truck.....I don't think anything is being blowen any where.

Scroll back and look at the mees under the truck...look at the manner in which the other cars were pushed into the ditch......

Nope..looks like another "Multi-tasker" that was handling one task to many, while be-bopping along in his truck.

Shit like this is why "We" have such a bad public image.

I read in the STL Post Dispatch earlier and it said that he was inattentive. Also the driver's father said he is having a breakdown over the accident and is more than likely facing charges of what I'm not sure yet. But a lady from my mom's work said that he was texting and driving.

He is going to face some charges, prosecutors have to charge him, 2 people died. The only thing that might help him a tiny bit is that he had a perfect record in his 7 years of driving and that all his paperwork was legal. Won't help much but it will help show that he wasn't some BBR that had a history of driving like a total maniac.

This was the latest update on FOX's website. Not looking good for the driver?
