My nominee for dumass of the week

And the winner is..................ME

Okay, I know better, but I did it anyway. I decided to air off my tank instead of pumping. no problem so far, I get hooked up and turn the air on, getting ready to start unloading and lady there says, you got a leak on top of your tank. I see the rear wash out cap is leaking, so I shut the air off and climb up there, now I KNOW that the first thing I should do is bleed the air off, but do I do it? NO. ...I walk back and hit the cap with a hammer to tighten it. It turns a litttle and then....BOOM it flies off and just barely misses my face (It doesnt have a cable holding it) I get my face covered with 162 degree fat and get my eyes full. I also get to clean up 1000 pounds of grease off the ground. The blisters on my face went away after a couple days and my heart has restarted.. It's really bad when you know better and do it anyway. so go ahead and tell my how stupid I am, I cant argue with you this time..

WRONG.

The correct answer is:

Next time, bring an umbrella and goggles.

It's a good thing you weren't hauling some type of toxic or caustic chemicals.

You might not be here right now to joke about it.
