When did a ...

week become 5 days, instead of 7!

Geesh, was reading some BS a driver posted about a company on another forum, and he made the statement, " a week is 5 days, not 7".

This moron was griping that he was having to work on the weekends. Duh, OTR = lots of time on the road!

Anyway, can someone send me a copy of the official bulletin changing a week to 5 days instead of 7! It may come in useful someday!

Ugghhhhh!

A week for me IS 5 days. Well, sort of.

I get home sometime on Friday, which can be anywhere from 6am to midnight. I then leave either late Sunday or sometime on Monday.

Please send me that memo too cause the last time I checked a week was 7 days not 5 days.

He Double L, the real problem, is that us Bulk Tank haulers have not start or end of the week! It just keeps going, and going, and going!

Either drivers are too chicken to pull tankers or they are too lazy to climb up and down a tank or have a fear of heights. I over came my fear of heights the first day when I first got on top of a rail car, it was nerve racking at first but it was fun actually.

I've thought about switching to tankers. The only issue I have is pulling a huge liquid bomb behind me

I pull dry bulk, cement, lime and flyash, sometimes salt! no bomb there! Also, there are lots of liquid tanker opportunities that are not fuel or explosive related.

At times I'd like to pull food grade then other times I want to pull chemicals. Either way the miles are pretty consistent and pay is good!
