Well, I would say his hardline stance on things in order to get a rise out of people is particularly need to brought back into the realm of reality. If you going to make comments that can be considered "anti-American" to a few faithful American, I think you can take a little criticism for it.

And as far as losing his son in a war, sorry that it happen. But since we went there, what do you think his son would say about this, being that he gave up his life for his country?

Civil disobedience means that you proudly serve your sentence as a cost of your disobedience.. you make yourself the example.. Take a look, then notice that their are other groups that are far more violent than those people.

Then take a look at your homes. The land that you paid for. Because according to them, that land is theirs.

And it's written in English. That means that they already are based in America. They are not coming. They are here, looking into you house. Checking out your land. Thinking about your family. And they are waiting until they can get away with it.

NO..... obviously, you DON'T!! There is a difference between public LANDS and MONUMENTS and a Mexican Flag! That monument or bench is owned by the public (and each citizen collectively) and is ENTIRELY different from a Mexican Flag! And public LAND (or a public place) is jointly owned by all citizens AND the United States. Any PUBLIC monument or bench on Public land is jointly owned, and you don't own enough of it to claim it as your own and have no right to even DEFACE it, let alone dispose of it! However, ANY public place or land IS partially owned by you and every citizen, and therefore if ANYONE hoists a foreign flag over it you would have the right to REMOVE it! And as a veteran.... if you remember your oath..... a DUTY to do so!

Ignoring for a moment that you think EVERY "harley rider" is a MORON.... NOPE... you don't! I don't agree with it, but the law allows such a display/use of the American Flag. Maybe not in the case of the "dirty" flag you described on the pickup truck. THAT is against the law. And I doubt a jury in the land, IF they are instructed in the Flag Code, would convict you for destroying it. You would ONLY be following the LAW! A "doo rag" can be considered a permanent article. As long as it is kept clean, it seems to not be against the law. But, NO American flag is supposed to become DIRTY or ragged, without being destroyed properly (the case of the pickup.) And I know of no law that specifies WHO should take on that responsibility.

More importantly, the IMAGE of the American Flag is NOT to be imprinted on such things as napkins, etc., which are considered destined to be "disposable." You really should READ the "code." It is very interesting.

I can appreciate your position on this, Fozzy. But, CITE me the law that he broke! The fact that you "believe" it was illegal does not sway me. I want to read the law (AND all its "exceptions") for myself! And your "suppositions" concerning this Veteran are beneath the dignity of one in YOUR position! Or do you think ALL veterans are disposed to criminal activity?
