5-Hour Energy

Has anyone tried this energy drink? I see it in all the truck stops and advertized all over the place. Since I started on this Peterbilt Dedicated route I have been dragging because of my hours and when those hours are. I bought one and I will try it on my next early morning run. It seems to have ingredients that won't hurt you in the long run.

energy drinks are gross. i used to drink monster until it started making my adrenaline pump for several hours. it freaked me out and i haven't touched anything like it since then. i'll stick with mountain dew.

Its not really a drink, more like a 'shot'.

Yes it does work, BUT.. and this is a big but....

When you finally do go to sleep? Your eyes close and you're "sleeping", but when you wake up you will feel like you only slept about 30 minutes.

Its an awful feeling, I had to quit taking it.

It's more like 3 hour energy but it does work. I know people who swear by it. My son uses them in the field. He prefers the all natural energy stuff. I recommend the lemon lime flavor. :D

I use Redline. Not bad. Only half a bottle of the ready to drink and I am good to go all day. Also GNC sales a product by BSN called Endorush that kicks butt. 4 serving per bottle on it. http://www.bsnonline.net/endorush/?u...m_campaign=Web

Forget energy drinks. I'm not sure what is in the "5 hour energy" product, but the best thing for energy is mega doses of B-12. The best thing I have found is B Complex Sublingual Liquid.

I think WallyWorld carries it. It's a small bottle of the brand name Spring Valley.

One dropper under your tongue, hold for 30 seconds, then swallow. Works fast, and LONG! Make sure you've eaten adequately during the day, as it works to metabolize what you eat into energy. This also keeps you from getting as fat. And there is no "crash" after.

60 doses per bottle. I'm still on my first bottle. I don't need it every day, of course. But, when I need it, nothing works better.

My co-driver spends over $2 a day on things like monster, etc. I think I paid about $5 for this over a year ago!

B-12 is a major ingrediant of 5-Hour.

B Vitamins are the main ingredient in the 5-hr shot. I personally cant drink the whole thing in one gulp. I get flushed and feel off. But if I take half anf then half in about 30mins I feel great. and I don;t get the gitters like I do with caffeine. I have to look into the GNC thing.

I thought it might BE. Don't know why they only advertise it to work for 5 hours. Mine works longer it seems. And certainly costs less.

Oh... well, maybe it is the percentage of daily requirement difference. Not sure what "5-hour" has. Spring Valley is 20,000%. Man.... THAT'S a kick!

Been using it for years, along with coffee, energy drinks, but the Vitamin B complex rocks.

Might be that the stomach can't handle so much B-12 at one time. Using the sublingual stuff, much of it is absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the membranes under your tongue. What you swallow then, is probably mostly the flavoring, etc.

It only gives me a momentary flush or nausea IF I haven't eaten anything recently.

The GNC stuff is probably good.... but 4 doses vs. 60 doses for probably the same money??
