It's definitely a Monday...

I hate Monday's - especially today.

Had a doctor appointment as a follow-up for an MRI to my knee. I was expecting him to give me a prescription for some meds or maybe a Cortisone injection. But noooooooo...

Turns out I have a torn cartilidge (sp) and damaged ACL ligament. So, now I have the fun of scheduling orthroscopic surgery and enjoying months of pain, plus being off work for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Isn't life grand...

The knee part shouldnt hurt for months. I have had it done 3 times to the same knee. Next is a whole replacement so I baby it :p

And the ACL must be nice they told me when i can afford 6 mo off work to call and have it fixed that was in 99. needless to say its still 70% torn tru altho by now im sure scar tissue has filled it in.

That makes me feel a lot better. I'm a big baby when it comes to pain.

Just had my left knee scoped back on August 30th. I missed 7 days of work and then went back without any restrictions. About the only thing I have to be careful of is not to kneel on it as the two scars are sensitive.

Wimps 8) Take a salt pill and get back to work. :D

Guy I work with has had knee problems with both knees for years, each time they do work on him, he's out for at least a month. The last time he was only out 2 weeks, think all they did was clean it up and do some minor house work inside, next step is replacing that one knee if it starts acting up on him again.

Well, I'm all set for the surgery. I go in on Oct 31st to have it done. Yay - only 2 more weeks to sit and think about the fun I'll be having

Try my right shoulder boys broke the Humorus Bone off in the socket it set itself 1/2 inch forward. Had the surgery Yesterday found out had 3 torn tendons and 2 torn ligaments in additon to the break looking at 6 weeks before I can use my right arm at ALL then 6 months before I am recovered fully. 2 weeks I would kill for that.

Ouch... How'd that happen? Looks like you may want to look at driving an auto-shift to eliminate the constant arm movements.

Sorry to hear about your knee! But if you do not get it taken care of it will be far worse and it could end up so bad that you would be looking forward to the surgery! Been there!

BOL hope you can get it done and over with.

 Only two? Boy they must have improved on the surgery since I had mine I had three.

Mine took a little longer to heal as I had to carry my daughter who was around a year and half or two at the time and take care of my son. I was suppose to be on crutches at the time but due to a family emergency I got abandoned with the kids.

If I recall back when I had my surgery I was suppose to be on crutches at least one to two weeks. Heck the way they are doing the surgeries soon you will get it done and be dancing the same night!
