Disabling the auto shift on a super ten speed
 

Well, I finally learned how to do it when I had to drive one that hasnt been unhooked. what you do is shift the gears until you get in 9th, as soon as it starts to shift into 10th put it in neutral and let the clutch out, watch the tach, it will stay revved up for about 20 seconds or so, when it drops back down to idle rpm, shift it back into 10th, it will now be manual shift from 9th to 10th until you turn the key off.

Why would you want to do that when all you have to do is shift it manually or turn the cruise control off?

because it shifts by itself, that's why it's called automatic, the cruise has nothing to do with it, 9th and 10th shifts automatically. it is a pain because it shifts when you dont want it to and it takes a long time to shift..

I realize that, I just am pretty sure that to disable the top2 function, you have to have the cruise off.. I'll snoop around, But I really do not think that killing the top 2 function requires a lot.

With my super ten auto top two. Before it tries to shift to tenth I push in clutch and put in neutral continue holding clutch til it stops purging abut seven to ten seconds. Then you can shift it manually from 9th to 10th.

I guess its pretty much the same thing, I just put it in neutral and leave the clutch out.
