Alberta oil jobs ?

Was talking to an o/o dumptruck driver here in san diego, he was telling me the thing to do is go to Canada right now if you want to make good money. Does any body have any info on this or know any links ?

i heard that a newbie can start out at $100k/yr. If you like being out in the middle of nowhere in subzero temps year round

Theres plenty of oil jobs here in the states. Go to Rifle, Co., talk to Hyland or IE Miller, go into Wyoming, or N. Dakota, Montana.

Come to Texas, and work in the oil fields. Crude Oil was invented in Texas. :P

Texas is too hot for me but thanks for the advice, I think I would rather work in the cold if the price was right. Did a search on monster, sounds like there are a few visa hurdles you have to jump over before you can work in Canada. Ill have to look into montana or wyoming, I just want out of california.

You would need to get a work visa to work in Canada, and with the amount of Canadians going out there to work I would say chances would be pretty slim
