My CB is giving me fits.

If the signal is full of static/cracking what is the problem?
I thought that would be the antenna, but have replaced it and still same problem.
I even tried another completely different radio and same problem.
Is this a coax problem?
I sure hope I dont have to string coax through this truck but dont see any more alternatives.

I'm not a electronics expert by any means but it sounds like either a Ground problem or your Coax

.

run a wire from the antenna mount to a bolt on the door hinge,. see if that helps. that gives you a much better ground

I have been having some static on both my radio's. My CB and AM radio. I need to check it out. I think it is probably a ground problem or perhaps a loose cable.

Sounds like it's not grounded very good.
